Usually these values can be computed from the contract size, units, conversion factor, and minimum tick.\n<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding:35px 0 20px 0\">Full Point Value<\/h3>\n<p>This represents the contract value per 1.0 unit of currency.This is the general formula:<\/p>\n<p><strong>FullPointValue = ContractSize x UnitOfMeasurement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For example,  CME Live Cattle contract size is 40000 lbs and units are cents per pound.<\/p>\n<p>FullPointValue = ContractSize x UnitOfMeasurement = 40000 lbs x cents per pound = 40000 cents = $400.00<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively this formula can be used:<\/p>\n<p><strong>FullPointValue = FranctionalPointValue x ConversionFactorDivisor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For example, the CME website contract specifications states that the FractionalPointValue is $4.00.  The conversion factor is +2 which means the ConversionFactorDivisor is 100.<\/p>\n<p>FullPointValue = FranctionalPointValue x ConversionFactorDivisor = $4.00 x 100 = $400.00<\/p>\n<p>The conversion factor divisors:<br \/>\n-9 =640<br \/>\n-8 =320<br \/>\n-7 =320<br \/>\n-6 =256<br \/>\n-5 =128<br \/>\n-4 =64<br \/>\n-3 =32<br \/>\n-2 =16<br \/>\n-1 =8<br \/>\n0 =1<br \/>\n1 =10<br \/>\n2 = 100<br \/>\n3 = 1000<br \/>\n4 = 10000<br \/>\n5 = 100000<br \/>\n6 = 1000000<br \/>\n7 = 10000000<br \/>\n8 = 100000000<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding:35px 0 20px 0\">Fractional Point Value<\/h3>\n<p>This represents the contract value of the pricing increment precision unit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FranctionalPointValue = FullPointValue \/ ConversionFactorDivisor<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding:35px 0 20px 0\">Tick Value<\/h3>\n<p>\nThe tick value is the minimum price fluctuation of one contract.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TickValue = FractionalPointValue x MinimumTick<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For example, CME Live Cattle has a minimum tick of 2.5 and the FractionalPointValue is $4.00.<\/p>\n<p>TickValue = FractionalPointValue x MinimumTick = $4.00 x 2.5 = $10.00<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CSI displays 3 different types of price values related to futures markets.
