To get rid of the message you can either delete the contract from your portfolio or edit the start date of the contract.<\/div>\n<div>\n<hr class=\"styled-hr\" style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"paragraph editable-text\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Question: I&#8217;m trying to download data and it won&#8217;t let me. It displays a message at the bottom of the Internet Download window &#8220;Release not ready, retrying every minute&#8221;. What can I do to get my data?<\/span><br \/>\nAnswer: Apparently the automated Release Schedule Distribution changed and Unfair Advantage will wait, until the available data download is ready.<br \/>\nPlease launch Unfair Advantage by double clicking the &#8216;Launch UA&#8217; icon on your Windows Desktop, navigate to &#8216;DATABASE&#8217; along the top, and choose Schedule Download\/Distribution. Using your own Internet connection (ISP, Compuserve, America Online, etc.), you will avoid telephone expenses and capture daily data updates in a minute or two each day. Same-speed or slower dial-up collection is also available. A high-speed DSL, cable, or satellite connection is recomended.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<hr class=\"styled-hr\" style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"paragraph editable-text\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Question: How can I set up a portfolio in Unfair Advantage?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Answer: To set up a portfolio follow the easy steps below.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">01. Click the &#8220;Portfolio&#8221; menu at the top of your UA screen, and choose &#8220;Create new Portfolio&#8221;.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>02. A &#8220;Edit Portfolio&#8221; screen will appear.<\/p>\n<p>The first thing you&#8217;ll do is name your new portfolio. Simply type a description or whatever nomenclature you prefer into the &#8220;Name&#8221; text box. (We used<br \/>\n&#8220;Portfolio&#8221; in the example above). The default location is a directory whose name matches the portfolio name within the C:\\UA\\Files subdirectory.<\/p>\n<p>03. The Selecting Data Series screen appears (in this example we used Symbol C2, Nth Nearest, CSI File Format).<br \/>\nOf special interest will be the available Contract Selection tabs. Accept to build the hard disk files.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll find the created\/exported files within the \\UA\\Files\\&lt;named portfolio&gt;\\.<\/p>\n<p>05. You should be able to see your created portfolio, and also the created contract.<br \/>\nAt the bottom of your UA chart is a pair of tabs offering &#8220;Chart&#8221; and &#8220;Table&#8221;.<br \/>\nThe default presentation is of a chart, but you can easily view a numerical table of the data on your screen by clicking the &#8220;Table&#8221; tab.<\/p>\n<p>06. The switch happened on 20090605.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"styled-hr\" style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"paragraph editable-text\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Question: Why is historical data stored on the user&#8217;s own hard drive after delivery on CD?<\/span><br \/>\nAnswer: Competitive CD ROMs cannot be updated, requiring that you store new updates on your hard drive and purchase new history CDs quarterly or semi-annually. This is not the case with Unfair Advantage. Our software squeezes a copy of the ENTIRE commodity, stock, and\/or option database on your hard drive, updating and correcting errors daily using minimal space. This product requires that all users maintain their files in intervals of eight weeks or less. For example, if you are interested in CBT Corn, Unfair Advantage can display a back-adjusted chart in a second or two. From there, you can select from the supplied technical indicators including seasonal calculations, RSI, moving averages, stochastics, Moving Average Convergence\/Divergence and Committments of Traders. If you prefer, you can program your own studies or use your favorite third-party analysis system. Click &#8220;Launch UA&#8221; on your desktop and select &#8220;Preferences&#8221; from the main menu.<\/p>\n<p>02. Select &#8220;Download Preferences&#8221; from the menu, and choose &#8220;Browser&#8221; from the Download Method drop down menu. Click the &#8220;OK&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p>03. Start a daily distribution by clicking the icon &#8220;Download Data&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>04. Click the &#8220;OK&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p>05. Click the &#8220;Save&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p>06. Choose the Unfair Advantage folder (default C:\\ua). Click the &#8220;Save&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p>07. After the download is complete return to the Unfair Advantage program and click the &#8220;OK&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p>08. You should see Unfair Advantage updating the data.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Troubleshoot the download issue<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Disable the Firewall\/Anti-Virus software and try a data distribution. Configure the the Security Suite to by adding Unfair Advantage to the permitted\/trusted programs.<br \/>\nIn some cases it is not possible to deactivate the Anti-Virus\/Firewall application, because the protections still applies.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A slow wireless connection could also cause an unsuccessful download, or drop of the download.<br \/>\nExtend your wireless range, or move your Access Point closer to your PC.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Disable the Windows Firewall. (Start | Control Panel | Security Center)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A new Windows Security Update may also cause a download issue.
